Start: 01-02-2026
Man-days: 100
Location: Brussels
Remote: to discuss during interview
FR or NL + English
Daily rate: between 900 and 1025€ (depends the seniority)

Work schedule/week: The requested work schedule is two (2) days per week ( yearly 100 performance days )

Consultancy mission description "Senior Oracle performance & tuning consultant": 

Join a dynamic team responsible for managing the database ecosystem, including Oracle Databases, on-premises SQL Server, Postgres and Azure SQL DB. 
One of our missions is to support business development teams by identifying Oracle Database performance bottlenecks, providing expert advice, and optimizing sql queries.
As an Oracle Database performance and tuning specialist, you’ll collaborate closely with infrastructure engineers, business developers, business analysts, and application architects to ensure optimal Oracle database performance across environments.
Your Responsibilities as expert are:
  • Analyse and optimize Oracle queries and configurations.
  • Support business development teams in identifying and resolving performance issues.
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate Oracle Database performance checks and diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve Oracle database architecture and efficiency.
  • Document and training findings and share best practices across teams.
Profile skills required: 
Technical Skills
  • Strong expertise in Oracle configuration, applicative query performance tuning, and troubleshooting, without the use of performance and tuning packs or other paid oracle option.
  • Deep understanding of DDL/DML operations.
  • Solid grasp of networking principles and modern authentication mechanisms.
  • Ability to write scripts (SQL, PowerShell, Unix, etc.) for performance analysis and automation.
Soft Skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Capable of challenging and improving infrastructure designs.
  • Skilled in writing clear, concise documentation and sharing knowledge.
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Security-conscious and aware of best practices in IT security.
Partially remote work options:
  • 50% On-premises ; 50% teleworking.  
  • Remote working allowed after familiarisation period with mission tasks and main work areas. 
Equipment
  • A secured company laptop will be provided.
