Your Future Job

As an IT Resiliency Engineer, you will join the enthusiastic and multidisciplinary IT Continuity team. Together, you will be responsible for ensuring our Bank's ability to react to critical application or datacenter failures. Within BNPPF, you will collaborate to embed rules defined by Regulators such as the European Central Bank, Belgium National Bank, and our Group Policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure reactivity during critical application failures.
  • Collaborate with Application owners to manage and validate Application Impact Analysis (AIA), Continuity Run Book (CRB), and Disaster Recovery (DR) Unitary Exercise documents.
  • Serve as the main contact for several tribes on resiliency topics.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with Tribe Continuity contacts on changes impacting deliverables and progress on AIA, CRB, and DR Unitary Exercises.
  • Contribute to Fortis & IT Group transversal DR exercises:
    • Validate CRBs and their readiness.
    • Conduct detailed capacity studies for infrastructure components within our two data centers.
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to prepare and collect required information.
    • Plan DR exercises, identify risks, and prepare mitigation plans.
    • Help build the Master Run Book (MRB) by consolidating all actions from CRBs.
    • Facilitate DR exercises during night and weekend sessions three times a year.

Skills & Experience

  • Language Skills: Excellent knowledge of English; Dutch/French is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 5 years as a resiliency engineer or previous experience as a security engineer, OPS engineer, or Architect.
  • Knowledge: Strong interest or experience in the Resiliency domain, able to provide clear overviews of resiliency expectations and challenges to stakeholders.
