Mission context

In our Agile organisation, you will be working in the Digital Working-tribe where you will combine the roles of Initiative Owner (Program Manager) and Squad Scrum Master.

 

The Initiative Owner, being the Agile equivalent of a Program Manager:

  • manages a set of related projects that are required to achieve a business objective.
  • ensures the program goals are met by providing an englobing decision-making capacity that cannot be achieved at project level.
  • ensures that the Program is completed on time and within budget, and that the objectives are met and the different interests involved are satisfied.

 

The Squad Scrum Master :

  • helps the team achieve the goals by creating a smooth working environment and promote continuous improvement
  • coaches in self-organization and reinforces Agile practices
  • facilitates the daily huddles
  • ensures follow-up of dependencies and impediments between squads and constructs

  • satisfied with these tools by providing technical and functional support on the field and remotely through “Le Comptoir”

 

 

Function  description

As program manager, you will manage the Initiative that handles the onboarding of different entities in Belgium and the Netherlands in the IT-ecosystem and services of BNP Paribas Fortis.

As such, you will need to:

  • agree on program objectives with management and stakeholders
  • boost and monitor the progress of the projects in the program
  • provide the involved project managers and product owners with a program perspective (purpose and status)
  • identify and manage cross-project dependencies
  • identify and manage program risks and issues
  • monitor individual project progress, and support project-level activity when required
  • estimation and follow-up of the program cost
  • reporting towards line management and stakeholders
  • adhere to policies and procedures defined by Compliance, Permanent Control and Operational Risk
  • acts as escalation path for project managers or product owners in the project

You will be Scrum Master of the squad with the major contributors to your Initiative. Together with the Product Owner, you will promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement and handle the squad’s impediments. Goal is to increase squad maturity and reach the squad and project goals on time, budget and scope.

 

Language requirements

Excellent knowledge of English, decent knowledge of French and Dutch

Education

Master degree or equivalent by experience

Travel

You will be required from time to time to travel in the Netherlands or to Paris. Travel exp. 4 times a year.

50% on-site (Brussels near Central Station) & 50% homeworking

Required experience / knowledge

At least 10 years of experience

Business experience

mandatory

  • Proven experience in the management of complex projects or a program of projects
