Client: Vlaamse Landmaatschappij (VLM) – Manure Bank Department
Project Context:
The Flemish Land Company (VLM) is undergoing a major digital transformation to align applications with the 7th Manure Action Plan (MAP7). This initiative aims to reduce nutrient losses from agriculture to improve water quality, requiring significant updates to IT systems that manage declarations, sampling, fertilization standards, and enforcement processes.
Mission:
As a Senior .NET Developer, you will contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of key digital services within the Manure Bank division. You will join a collaborative Agile team under the guidance of a technical project leader, supporting various modules in line with MAP7 policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain complex .NET applications.
Lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and coordinate development activities.
Translate functional requirements into robust software solutions using Agile Scrum methodologies.
Collaborate with architects and analysts to align with VLM’s business and system architecture.
Ensure high-quality code, facilitate knowledge transfer, and contribute to system documentation.
Provide technical insights during feedback sessions, especially in areas of expertise.
Required Experience and Skills:
Proven experience with .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core (5/6/8), and .NET Framework 4.8.
Experience in leading software development teams and coaching peers.
Strong knowledge of Agile development practices and associated tools.
Fluent in Dutch (CEFR level C2) – mandatory.
Ability to produce clean, testable, and maintainable code with attention to performance and security.
Familiarity with legislation and digitalization in the agriculture sector is a plus.
