Department & Context description:
The Application Architect helps to de-finalize the vision towards which our architecture must evolve and to refine the way in which this architecture must be applied. He informs the various teams on this subject and ensures the correct application of this architecture. And this both for the development of new applications or for the planning of changes in existing applications. The goal is to ensure a consistent application architecture that meets the current and future needs of the organization.
The Application Architect integrates the business in the establishment and realization of the various roadmaps and collaborates in the realization of the logical architecture and the directives specific to the applications. The goal is to ensure the consistency of the enterprise architecture.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities
Architecture visions and roadmaps
• The Application Architect supports the development of architectural visions and has them validated by ICT management.
• It communicates the architectural vision of the CIN to both ICT and business.
• (S)He collaborates in the realization of architectural visions and roadmaps specific to the different components of an ICT architecture.
Principles of architecture (standards and guidelines) and involvement in projects
• The Application Architect develops, describes and documents standards and guidelines for one or more of the following architecture disciplines: business, data, integration and application.
• It communicates standards and guidelines to all ICT employees and third parties.
• It ensures compliance with these standards and guidelines in the development or change of applications in order to obtain modular and consistent applications.
• In projects or in case of operational problems, (s)he is responsible for the design of the solution based on architectural principles.
• (S)He oversees the implementation of solutions developed by partners (internal and external partners, software providers).
Monitoring market trends and roadmaps
• The Application Architect follows the market with regard to new products and services in relation to the current and future ICT architecture.
• (S)He regularly maintains contacts with privileged partners on the basis of current contracts.
Representation of the CIN
• The Application Architect represents the National Inter-Mutualist College (CIN) in various working groups and committees at the inter-mutualist level, the eHealth platform and intersectoral

Secondary Tasks and responsibilities
- Assist the PM throughout the project set-up, deployment and assessment phases.
- Assist in meetings representing business’ interests and make sure alignment and cohesion is assured throughout all the phases, minimalizing the risks.

Methodology/Certification requirements
Master’s Degree in Computer Science OR equivalent through experience.
+7 years’ experience in a similar role

Technical profile requirements
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience with third parties providing application and infrastructure services
- Excellent knowledge of solutions related to architecture, system design and integration
- Able to translate technical concepts into messages that can be understood by all levels of management
- Excellent project management skills (certification is a plus)
- Excellent risk management skills (certification is a plus)
- Excellent financial planning/management skills related to the IT sector
- Excellent capacity to look beyond the immediate technical problems and to understand the whole context;
- Excellent knowledge of the IT process management

Language proficiencies
• FR + NL is a must
• Good knowledge of ENG
